The raw material for Aylesford's quality product is 100 percent recovered fibre and the mill processes 500,000 tons of used newspapers and magazines each year.

The Aylesford mill is located near a densely populated area with little forest resources and has been a pioneer in developing the processing of recovered paper as a raw material for newsprint production.
