A: Yes, under the umbrella of the SCA Group's environemental policy our units have defined their environmental strategies and objectives.

Q: Has any of SCA's products been certified by FSC?

A: Yes, during 2000, 2001 and 2002, SCA continued to receive FSC Chain-of Custody certificates for Bollsta, Rundvik, Tunadal, Munksund and Holmsund sawmills, for the Östrand pulp mill, producing TCF bleached kraft pulp and chemical thermo-mechanical pulp, and for the production of LWC paper at the Ortviken paper mill. SCA is now able to offer a broad array of FSC-certified products, ranging from solid wood to pulp and on to high quality newsprint and magazine paper.

Q: Does SCA have any comprehensive environmental management system?

A: Yes, we use ISO 14001 and EMAS (the EU's system for environmental management and auditing) as environmental management systems. The following mills and units are certified and registered in accordance with these systems.
